They will make these calls to you you will think your ending the renewal option but the people talk so fast they have you on tape agreeing to get more it's trickery and your 3 year subscription will go on for years. Then they don't contact all the companies and years after you think you paid them off you did BUT they haven't paid all the different magazine publishers and for no reason beknownst to you you have a collection agency calling you looking for $700

Unauthorized entry of subscription

I suddenly received a copy of Cosmopolitan that I did not order. The account # is COS145322****.

I want the subscription stopped and a letter telling me how it was started without my authorization. I attempted to reach the magazine center at 180******** and enjoyed their music but never reached a customer service rep. James E. Answered a survey and they renewed 4 different magazines

I had subscribed to a magazine and evidently according to them I answered a survey and got magazine subscriptions for answering the questions. Then I saw my credit card bill and they had charged me over $150.00 for 4 renewals! When I finally spoke to a human I was told I could not get a full refund unless I signed up for a two dollar/6 month deal. Told them where to put that suggestion and just took a partial refund. Still I am out about $25.00. At least I used a credit card to pay or they would have messed up my bank account. And FYI if you hit zero enough times you do get a live person. Next I a writing my states Attorney General about this company.

This is a complete lie. A customer rep cannot tell you are not able to get a full refund.

Or that you have to accept the "$2/6month" deal. You probably misheard them. Stop running company's names to the ground unless you have the facts. And you're not out $25.

For 2 years I have been trying to cancel a magazine subscription that I didn't know I had. They have hung up on me, told me it was "taken care of"and then changed me, and told me to call back and they would refund me. But each time I call I get another line of st! There is no way anyone should deal with this company!

Over the years I have been contacted by the magazine service which I was part of but cancelled. A letter comes and I call to cancel and the cancellation form never arrives. The magazines stop for a while. Again a year or two later the magazines start again. I call again no cancellation notice. There has been numerous occasions that I needed to call. They ask me for my credit card and will not give them the number. Tonight I was called again, told them again to stop and since I did not pay for magazines and I had asked numerous times to stop, I was threatened to be taken to collections.

Wasn't this company then. They cannot make outbound calls.

The only form on contact is of the CUSTOMERS calls in. They aren't able to call you.

So this in fact proves you're an ***, and that you're just falsely accusing this company of actions it's not responsible of. Better luck next time

Check cashed jul 2013,no magazines yet,1 year subsciption

As of today sep 18,2013 I have not gotten any Magazines.Since the check went through in Jul this year,I figured I should have gotten a srart anyway! what is there to say for 70 more words,get resl please. This is what *** me off about this site.I have explained my problem and what more is there to say,this will not happen to me again. I have read complaints about this site and problems of other customers,it is really remarkable that there are so many complaints. It takes forever to get on here and when you do you get this kind of run around. I have been sending in tings to PCH since 1969,check the records and see I am not lying,44 years. I patience is wearing thin with PCH.

Magazine Service Center is a Thief

In March,2013 I paid for a magazine subscription and as of late August not a single issue has arrived. I started calling and emailing them in May. No one answers the phone number and you can't leave a message. You will be disconnected. The emails recive an automated responce that you will hear from them within 72 hours. Maybe they meant 72 months. I have requested a credit as well as a refund. You will hear nothing back. You can see from other complaints on this site that they don't care and have been taking money fraudulantly from people for years. Don't buy through these people.

I now have 2hrs and 17 minutes of my life trying to get through to these people. This is by far the worst web site I've EVER visited.

Calling their phone numbers is a decent into ***. I will never do business with them again.

They are the most pathetic group of money suckers it has ever been my great misfortune to deal with. Tell all your friends, these losers need to be out of business and giving them your money is a BIG MISTAKE.

Peoples magazine, Family Circle, Home & Garden

On Oct.22,2010 some one ordered magazines in my name and on my Haband Acct.I was charged with these amounts on 11-25-12 $38.00, on 11-19-12 $140.95 and on 11-18-12 $34.00 for magazines that I didn't order. I have tried to call Magazines Service Center and get a computer which doesn't help me get to the real person to help me. My acct. with Haband has not been credited with the 236.86 that was illegally charged to my account. I have also been charged $20 late fee which isn't my fault.Please help me. Thank you for your help.

I have been holding on for the 800 number for over an hour. I want to cancel my free subscription. Is this how they get to charge you by not answering the calls??? I will never get the charge if you don't answer the phone. I called on a Saturday at 11:00 am.what is this w00 words stuFF. It does not take 100 words to complain. I guess you want more complaints that I have. I will write more and you better not charge me for the magazines I took.well I dont care what else I say till I get one hundred words. This is redicules!!

Automated phone service does not work properly and was unable to understand

the names of some of the magazines I wished to cancel. It also had some difficulty

with the names of the magazines on my order list. Also, theCustomer Service phone #

on their website is incorrect. I was just trying to cancel some magazines and found it

impossible.

SOLUTION:

Go to: http://www.magazine800.com/, the site you use if you did not order

through MSC (even tho you did) but you can still cancel, and they give you a correct

phone # for MSC 1-87*-813-**** where you can again cancel to make sure and receive

a confirmation #.

Magazine service center, RIP OFF

Well I wish I would have noticed when I ordered the Rachal Ray magazine, it wasn't from her direct website. After not even getting my magazine I noticed it was from "magazine service center" and this has lead me to all the nightmares people are dealing with from them. WTF is wrong with businesses who just want to rip you off and steal your money. Just send me my *** magazine and be done with me. I will never order anything from you again!! And they better not ever automaticly bill my credit card for a renewal for this magazine I haven't even recieved.

my name is lina botros , i have received a phone call from advertising man who said that i won something so by mistake and because of me lack of the things that call make me go through and because i am new i gave him my address and name and my credit card number because he said that they will deposit what i won to my account , that was on January 2011 during Christmas time because i am a new to this country i didnt understand cause he was talking so fast. since that time i got plenty of magazines and i didnt know where they were coming from . after few months i got a phone call telling me to pay $ 600 to the service that i got from sending magazines which i didnt know what was it for and how i got it . i was scared and i just paid the amount without telling my parents about it . i am a collage student and i am the only one work in my home .i called hundred times to cancel that magazines and i have been told that they already cancel it but now and again i am receiving them . i really dont want to get any magazines and i start hating magazines. i wish if someone can help me with this you can call me on 773-690-**** i am really so pissed off and i want to continue my life without this problem that i am going through

My subsribsion was cancel week late they bill my credit card unlawful. Notify Ca,consumer affairs call back with try reason, system setup you can not talk to an live voice. I have been dial canceling since the nineth of March 2011 it now the twentyeight of March 2011,thirty two calls late still trying to receive a refund. My next option is the district attortney office for to made my complaints, thank for helping

Ijust cancelled InStyle and Cosmo today because I got a overdraft from InStyle which I have not received since March. I tried to talk to Customer Service and I didn't get anywhere.

They told me to contact you. Now I don't know if I'am sending this information to the right person. Please help me out so I can clear up my overdraft.

I was charged $20.00 without any notice that this was been sent to my bank. This is not right I did not ask for these magazines.

I have been receiving "Women's Health" since last winter. I have asked to not receive it - I think it has many offensive articles that have nothing to do with Women's Health...

I also receive a magazine titled "Latina" - where did this come from???? It is a waste to send them to me as they go right in the garbage.

Could you please take care of this for me?

I also receive TIME magazine, Elle Decor, and House Beautiful. I am very pleased with these selections.

Never Sent Magazines ordered

Magazine Service senter is a rip-off, didnt sent my magazines and the complaint form they provide doesnt work. And they make it hard for anyone to leave a complaint message. How is this company able to stay in business when they take the order and money and dont provide the service, this is nothing less than stealing and stealing is a crime. This company should be held accountable for their accounts, if they cannot they need to be prosecuted. Our money is just as good to us as it is to them. I ordered in good faith but they didnt show good faith to me.
